The Eco Adventure!
Every Year the UBBT Teams, usually from12 to 30 instructors, head into the mountains for social time and training. We call these event the "anti-convention convention."

The UBBT went to Hawaii for a week, sleeping in a dojo, working on the land, eating fruit, doing demos, training, and being in nature.

Volcano, HI -- John Marriotti, of Nevada, is working on Jason Scott Lee's organic taro farm --with the team. John did more than a million push-ups (himself) for his test.

Hal Gustin
Hal is the most senior martial artist to take the UBBT. A professional MIT graduate engineer, Hal took his first martial arts lessons in 1958, a year before the Team's coach was born.

Building a House in Alabama - 2008
The UBBT travels to Greensboro, Alabama each year to do a project with Pam Dorr and Rural Studio students. This is the house we helped build in April of 2008.

Team 3 Graduation at Dave Kovar's
in 2007 team 3 of the UBBT met in Sacramento, CA at Dave Kovar's school for graduation. We walked 5 miles between two hospitals giving demo's for kids --and in-between we trained and tested for each other. Good times.
