The project was to create a set of flashcards (easy to use, store, gift, keep, & teach others from) about PEACE that would allow even the most novice teacher to stick his or her toe in the water with regards to TALKING about "Peace" in a martial arts classroom setting (or any setting for that matter).

When I first brought up the idea that martial arts teacher should be OBLIGATED to teach "peace education" in equal proportion to teaching "non-peace" ---there was some dialog about peace that was completely off track, like: "Peace???!!! What, should we all be speaking German now? What about bullies? etc.

No, I said, we must touch on what peace is about, peace "language" and peace "talk" at least once for every 16 kicks to the head - in our classes (a joke, almost, of course). This flash card series is one of the simple, easy-to-make tools I created to open the door to peace talk --even for people who wouldn't know peace if it kicked them in the head.
